Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire Targets

In Week 6, we continued to see more major injuries pile up like Jalen Hurts, Davante Adams, and Terry McLaurin. Plus, we had some surprising lineup changes. And lastly, with the NFL trade deadline looming (11/10), we have some teams who may be looking to solve their struggles with a splash.
Here are the players to target heading into Week 6.
Germie Bernard, WR — Pittsburgh Steelers
Germie Bernard is my top target for this week. After a strong showing in Week 5, he broke out in Week 6 with 11 receptions on 12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown. He was just behind DK Metcalf for the team lead in targets.
Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson are both on IR, and Bernard appears to be solidifying himself as one of Rodgers's go-to guys. A-Rod is big on only throwing to guys who he trusts (AKA can catch the ball) and he trusts Bernard - he was singing his praises during training camp. Still early, but he's looking like a league winner!
Bam Knight, RB — Arizona Cardinals
When Love was declared out, I, like many others, anticipated Tyler Allgeier to be the workhorse back in this game vs the Rams. However, it turned out to be Bam Knight! Allgeier had more snaps, but Bam had 15 carries for 80 yards and 2 receptions for 18 yards.
I think it's premature to assume Knight has leapfrogged Allgeier for backup duties but if he continues to outproduce him like this, he may be 'the guy' after Love. And Love's health is anything but certain right now.
Roschon Johnson, RB — Chicago Bears
Monangai was out again, so Roschon got the snaps behind Swift. He played on 40% of snaps and actually performed really well - he had 13 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown and 2 receptions for 34 yards.
Again, Ben Johnson loves using two backs, so if Monangai is out for anymore games, you can fire up Johnson as a flex.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB — New York Giants
Shortly before kickoff on Sunday, news broke out that the backfield rotation in New York was going to change because of Skattebo's recent fumbles. I think we all believed Najee Harris would be the biggest beneficiary, but he only logged 4 carries for 2 yards. Instead, it was Tracy who came up big, scoring 2 touchdowns - one on the ground and one through the air. Skattebo, on the other hand, was active but didn’t play. I would imagine this is a temporary punishment but Tracy is a decent flex for at least the next week.
Jaleel McLaughlin, RB — Denver Broncos
McLaughlin filled in admirably for an injured Judkins. If Judkins misses anymore time, McLaughlin should continue to see enough work to make him a viable low-end flex play. However, Dylan Sampson should be returning shortly which could limit his appeal.
Ryan Flournoy, WR — Dallas Cowboys
Dallas has been falling behind in most of their games and their game script has been pass-heavy for that reason. Flournoy won't be a weekly start but if anything happens to either Lamb or Pickens, he would be a great fill-in.
DeMario Douglas, WR — New England Patriots
Romeo Doubs went down with injury and is forced on IR. So now it's Pop Douglas alongside AJ Brown.
Travis Hunter, WR/CB — Jacksonville Jaguars
Hunter just caught a touchdown pass and an interception in the same game. What can't this man do? I have a strong feeling they will continue to give him more snaps on offense...snatch him off waivers now!
CJ Stroud, QB — Houston Texans
Don’t look now but Stroud is SLINGIN’ it! He just posted his third straight game of 20+ fantasy points and is now QB6 on the season. I expect his hot streak to continue against the Giants this week.
